Invincible Gold Project
The Invincible Project is a 100%-owned gold asset located in the Central Pilbara region of Western Australia.
The project is situated along strike from, and within the same stratigraphic sequence as, the Warrawoona Gold Mine, within a highly prospective gold-bearing corridor.
WA Gold’s tenure covers more than 12.5km of the Warrawoona Shear Zone, a regionally significant structural feature known to host gold mineralisation. Soil geochemical surveys have defined a continuous gold anomaly extending for more than 5km along this trend, highlighting the scale of the mineralised system and supporting multiple targets for follow-up exploration.
Gold mineralisation at Invincible is interpreted to be quartz vein-hosted within shear zones, consistent with structurally controlled gold systems in the region. The project area is characterised by strongly deformed and mylonitised rocks, providing a favourable setting for gold deposition. Evidence of coarse, visible gold has been observed at surface, supporting the presence of high-grade mineralisation.
Historic workings across the project, including the Invincible mine, demonstrate the presence of high-grade gold at or near surface. These workings remain largely untested at depth, and modern drilling across the tenure is limited, providing an opportunity to assess the continuity of mineralisation below historical activity.
WAU’s exploration strategy at Invincible is focused on testing the identified structural and geochemical targets through targeted drilling, with the aim of defining new zones of mineralisation and advancing the project through systematic exploration.
